The Tuggeranong Vikings Triathlon Club is proudly sponsored by the following

Since its inception, as a small single room club in 1979, the Tuggeranong Valley Rugby Union & Amateur Sports Club (TVRU&ASC) has grown to where the organisation now owns and operates four licensed club facilities throughout the Tuggeranong Valley:
Tuggeranong Rugby Club (Erindale) - Ricardo St.,Wanniassa. - opened 1979
Chisholm Sports Club - Benhan St., Chisholm - opened 1989
Town Centre Sports Club - Rowland Reese Cres., Greenway - opened 1994
Lanyon Rugby Club - Heidleberg St., Conder - opened 1995
The Club is also continually upgrading all of it facilities. Some of the more recent renovations would include the extension of the Chisholm Sports Club in 1998; a significant redesign of the Erindale Club facility in 1999 and a further renovation at Erindale, which will be completed prior to the Olympics.
Today the Club has a membership base of around 33,000 and is one of the major employers in the Tuggeranong Valley with a total staff of approximately 250. The Club is generally regarded as one of the most successful licensed clubs in the Canberra Region, with assets of $40,000,000 and an annual turnover of approx. $32,000,000.
On the sporting front the Club has recently invested close to $4m in the acquisition and redevelopment of Viking Park. This multi-purpose sports facility provides rugby union, league and soccer with an all-weather playing surface and state of the art lighting. Baseball is also catered for at the Park with a permanent diamond, to state league standard. At the Town Centre Sports Club members are able to access four high quality synthetic grass tennis courts and two championship size, lawn bowling greens. While at our Erindale Club, a modern, well-equipped gymnasium is provided for members.
When the Club began operations 21 years ago there were only four affiliated sporting clubs. Today the TVRU&ASC has developed the reputation as the 'Home of Amateur Sport in the Tuggeranong Valley' with a total of 50 affiliated sporting and social clubs, representing 33 different sports and activities.

The Runners Shop Canberra was established in 1990 and is now widely regarded as one of, if not the, best running and triathlon specialist stores in Australia.
The Runners Shop has much more than just a retail outlet - they are the centre of running in Canberra. In addition to having a tremendous range of shoes, apparel and accessories, they provide an information centre with entry forms, calendars, newsletters and publications.
They have close ties with the Canberra sports medicine community and regularly exchange views on running issues in general and new developments in running shoes in particular with doctors, physiotherapists and podiatrists. They even conduct our own independent testing on new shoe models.
As part of their philosophy of encouraging people to participate in junior, senior and veteran running, triathlon, orienteering and Little Athletics events, they sponsor virtually every event held in Canberra and also provide financial support to the clubs organising and participating in these events.
The Runnershop have staff who are seasoned runners with many years of competition behind them (and hopefully still in front of them). Brian Wenn the owner is also a qualified distance coach and is often called upon to provide training hints. He also lectures on running shoes and has had several articles published in specialist magazines, some of which are included in their website.
They have many customers from interstate who regularly visit the shop when in Canberra or who order by mail. There customers will often ring not only for advice on shoes, but a range of other running topics. They are continually promoting this aspect of our business and to expand there service to you like there web-site.
To order shoes, clothing or accessories, or for information on shoe technology please visit there website. To make inquiries please e-mail the Runnershop at webmaster@therunnersshop.com.au or alternatively you can continue to contact them by phone on (02) 62853508 or fax on (02) 62325533.
All sponsors provide discounts on all purchases as well as provide their friendly advise and expertise.
The Tuggeranong Vikings Triathlon Club thanks our sponsors for supporting the Club.
